Fr. Augustine Tran
Father Augustine Tran was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1974. He grew up in Springfield, IL. He earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S.A.E. from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He entered the seminary in 1992 studying philosophy at St. Meinrad University and Mt. Saint Mary's Seminary. In the Fall of 1993, he went to the North American College and earned an S.T.B. at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum). He was ordained for the Archdiocese of Atlanta in 1998. As a priest, he has served as a parochial vicar in a number of parishes and spent 16 years teaching theology at a Catholic high school in Roswell, GA. After spending three years as a parochial vicar at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Duluth, GA, he formally joined this community in September of 2023. He continues to serve as the National Chaplain and IT Manager for Regina Caeli Academy (rcahybrid.org). He is Priest-Moderator of this community and Rector of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Buffalo, NY.
Br. Paul Pierre Maturin
Br. Paul Pierre was born in 1994 in Maurice, LA to Randy & Tammy Maturin. He is the third of six children. He graduated from North Vermilion High School in 2013 and then attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for two years before entering the seminary for the Diocese of Lafayette in 2015. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Seminary College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts. He spent a year teaching at St. Edmund’s Catholic in Eunice, LA, and serving at St. Anthony of Padua Parish. He then spent two years at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, LA, before joining this community in 2021 with hopes of forming an Oratory of St. Philip Neri. He now attends St. Philip’s Seminary in Toronto, ON, finishing his graduate courses in Theology this May of 2025.
Br. Angelo Catalano
Br. Angelo Catalano was born on July 20, 1999 to Roseanne and Scott Catalano. He is one of two children. He graduated St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in 2018 and then attended Niagara University. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and graduated in 2022. After college, he worked various jobs and has been in full time discernment with the St. Philip Neri House since February 2025.
